The club’s first team lifted the Heavy Woollen Cup last week and quickly added more silverware to their collection when Heaton’s seconds bagged the Priestley Shield with a 102-run win over New Farnley.

Skipper Mark Inwood led from the front with a man of the match display in which he took 3-9 and scored 23 before he was presented with the winners’ trophy.

Hanging Heaton will complete a memorable treble of cup triumphs should they defeat Lightcliffe in the Sovereign Health Care Priestley Cup on August 25.
