Yorkshire, beaten by their closest rivals at Headingley earlier this season, cross the Pennines seeking revenge and a kickstart to their faltering Twenty20 campaign.

“It’s always a huge clash, the Roses match. I don’t expect anything different - a loud crowd and very supportive, but not so much for us,” said Australian batsman Finch, who scored 88 in the corresponding fixture last season.

“These matches are terrific and are probably the biggest domestic encounters in England.

“The matches have been very close between the two sides with the last three going down to the final ball. I really enjoy last year’s match at Old Trafford and I thought we played well to win.

“It would be nice to repeat that again this season.”

Yorkshire will be without the services of Adil Rashid because of his call-up to England’s Ashes squad.

Jason Gillespie has added spinners James Middlebrook and Karl Carver to his 14-man squad.
