Cleckheaton and Scholes win to book Priestley Shield quarter-final places
The Moorenders are mid-table in the second teams Championship One but can look forward to a home quarter-final against Pudsey St Lawrence after edging past Undercliffe.
An unbeaten 67 from Shahid Rehman and 33 from Elliot Hallas enabled Cleckheaton to pass Undercliffe’s 174 with eight wickets down.

Hide AdSam Bailey (4-38) and Antony Lee (3-15) had earlier shone with the ball for Cleck, while Khuram Rashid (50) and Nick Sugden (38) were the main contributors for Undercliffe.
Scholes eased into the last eight and a trip to Pudsey Congs with a nine-wicket win over Buttershaw St Pauls.
Youngster Jake Roberts produced the best bowling display of the round as his impressive spell of 7-33 enabled Scholes to restrict Buttershaw St Paul’s to 130-9 before openers Nick Firth (52) and Neil Kellett (36no) ensured they secured their quarter-final spot.
Shield holders Woodlands were sent out after suffering a shock defeat to Baildon.

Hide AdWoodlands, bidding to win the trophy for a third-successive season, were bowled out for 92.
First team opening bowler Scott Richardson, making his way back to fitness after an ankle injury, was the only Woodlands batsman to make an impression, with 33 as Seif Hussain took 4-24 to restrict them.
Josh Griffin took 3-10 as Woodlands tried to fightback, but Baildon edged home by three wickets and sealed their place in the last eight.
Bowling Old Lane edged past Bankfoot’s total of 209-7 to win by one wicket.

Hide AdJacques Allen smashed six sixes and 18 fours in a stunning 157 not out as Pudsey Congs piled up 305-7 in a 150-run win over Keighley, while Pudsey St Lawrence made 369-5 as they defeated Yeadon by 235 runs.
The remaining tie between Hanging Heaton and Batley will be played on Sunday.
