Cleckheaton and Woodlands stunned in HW Cup
Cleckheaton’s defeat to Streethouse was the biggest surprise as the Pontefract League side sent the Bradford big guns crashing out.
Ian Wood’s 58 not out was the highlight of Cleckheaton’s 161 all out, before Liam Geddis steered Streethouse to a stunning four-wicket win with 58 not out.

Hide AdPieter Swanepoel (3-22) and Sarfraz Ahmed (3-30) helped Woodlands bowl Pudsey Congs out for 132 but it proved a winning score as the Bradford League champions were dismissed for 106 in reply, despite the efforts of Swanepoel (35) and Usman Salim (31).
Mirfield Parish Cavaliers successfully chased down Methley’s impressive total of 261, in which former Cleckheaton man Marcus Walmsley made 100.
Parish won by two wickets thanks to a superb 106 by Ibby Latif and 75 from David Whitelock.
Birstall overcame Golcar by 10 runs as Eric Austin (65) and Rob McFarlane (45) helped them to 198 before the home side were out for 188.
