Celtic’s quest – Moor awards

DEWSBURY Celtic will look to get their Co-operative RL National title quest back on track as they visit second-bottom Nottingham Outlaws tomorrow.

Celtic lost their top two clash with Huddersfield Underbank Rangers 24-10 last week and now trail the leaders by nine points.

Shaw Cross Sharks lead the Yorkshire Premier West by two points after winning 48-34 at Leeds Akkies.

Tomorrow they host Parkside Hawks who stand second just two points adrift.

The Sharks’ Pat Foulstone scored his fourth try of the BARLA GB Lions’ tour as they were edged out 28-20 by Western Australia in Perth in front of a crowd of 15,371.

Dewsbury Moor’s open age team hold their presentation night at the club on Friday July 8. The event starts at 8pm and everyone is welcome.

Thornhill Trojans hold their annual meeting on Monday (July 4) at Thornhill Sports and Community Centre, starting at 8pm. Accounts for the last financial year will be presented while the election of officials will also take place.
