Woodlands were in trouble at 92-6, following impressive bowling spells by Richard Atkins (4-51) and Luke Jarvis (3-39), when Brice came to the crease and made a crucial 39 as they closed on 156.

Brice then sent Bierley into a spin as he returned excellent figures of 6-18 from 12.1 overs and the visitors were dismissed for 87.

Hanging Heaton slipped to a one-wicket defeat in a high scoring game at Pudsey St Lawrence.

Heaton all-rounder Ian Philliskirk struck five sixes adn 12 fours on his way to a first century for his new club .

Philliskirk ended unbeaten on 123, while support came from captain Gary Fellows (45) and Ismail Dawood (33no) as Heaton posted 262-6.

Philliskirk followed up by claiming 4-76 but it wasn’t enough to prevent defeat.

Saints captain James Smith hit 111 not out from 92 balls, including nine sixes and seven fours as the home side won with one over to spare.

Cleckheaton opener Tim Jackson hit his second century of the season as the champions overcame bottom team Undercliffe by 124 runs to secure a maximum 20 points.

Jackson stroked 20 fours on his way to an unbeaten 123 and the left hander has already amassed 368 league runs.

Ian Nicholson (60) shared a 132-run stand with Jackson, while James Lee’s unbeaten 39 helped boost Cleckheaton’s total to 295-4.

Undercliffe were dismissed for 171 as leg spinner Tanzeel Altaf (4-49) and paceman Curtis Free (4-39) did the damage despite opener Hamid Khan making 64.

Hartshead Moor celebrated their first win in Division Two as they defeated Brighouse by 147 runs.

Overseas player Fahad ul Haq made 78 and Richard Ferry 43 as Hartshead posted a total of 188 in what was the first time they have batted this season.

Asad Mahmood (4-36) and Nadeem Hussain (4-59) were pick of the Brighouse bowlers but the visitors were then dismissed for just 41 as Nasseer Saudagar took 6-12 and Danny Squire (4-25),

Scholes were knocked off top spot after a seven-wicket defeat against Baildon.

Taimur Khan took 5-28 as Scholes were restricted to 154-9, with last man Liam Thomas (29no) top scoring.

Baildon eased to victory with Jonny Reynolds making an unbeaten 58 and Chris Reynolds (48).

Third-placed Spen Victoria dismissed Yeadon for 107 to set up a four-wicket win.

Abid Awan (3-41) and Adil Islam (3-39) did the damage before Oliver Davison made a determined 50 to help Spen to their modest target.
