Promoter Steve Wood said: “Both these lads have great engines and there won’t be a dull second in this fight.

“Their first encounter (for the English title last April) was one of the best British fights of the year and fans will get to see another terrific fight.

“It’s disappointing that none of the TV companies have picked up this British title clash as I know it’s a fight boxing fans want to see.

“I’m pleased though that we’ll be streaming it live and free on VIPBoxing.TV and urge fans not to miss it.”

Tickets for the show have gone well but some remain on sale and will be available to buy at Friday’s weigh-in, priced £35 normal admission or £70 ringside.

Tickets for the boxing also include admission to Audio Nightclub, Bradford Road, Batley for an after fight party.

Kays comes to the ring with a record of 18 wins, three defeats and a draw from his 22 fight career.

Sykes inflicted defeat on Kays last April before vacating the English title.

Ashton-under-Lyne’s Kays then defeated Kevin Hooper to win the English title and successfully defended it against Midlands fighter Lee Glover in Oldham in March to set up a re-match with Sykes.
