Bradford-born super featherweight Fehintola has been taken under the wing by Central and has been training alongside Josh Warrington, Gary Sykes and Devon’s Jamie Speight in preparation for his return.

The 31-year-old has not boxed since recording a points victory against Kristian Laight over six two-minute rounds in June 2012 but will return against Qasim Hussain on Saturday.

Fehintola fought for the British super featherweight title, losing to Carl Johanneson in 2006 and has vowed a move to the Central stable will resurrect his career.

Jamie Speight, who Warrington defeated in the first defence of his English title, has also based himself at the Central Club in preparation for his own title shot.

Warrington said: “Femi is out this weekend and Jamie has spent time with us ahead of his Southern Area fight.

“There is a real buzz that we could all be winning titles this season.”
