Bland turns on style as Hopton seal victory

Stephen Bland helped set up the impressive win as he made 102 not out from just 79 balls, including seven fours and five sixes.

Bland shared an unbroken 157-run partnership with Andrew Grey (55no) after Ashley Mackereth made 42 at the top of the Hopton innings, which closed on 241-4.

Azaad were reduced to 123-8 in reply as Neil Browne claimed 3-60 before Tariq Mahmood (49no) frustrated Hopton to deny them maximum points as the visitors closed on 195-9.

Liversedge moved level on points with second placed Oulton following an impressive victory over Wakefield St Michaels.

Graeme Winn (53) and Suleman Mohammed (56) led the way as Liversedge were bowled out for 217, with Nick Downward claiming 7-57.

St Michaels were dismissed for 124 in reply as Simon Kay (5-44) and Zach Wood (3-33) did the damage.

Second placed Oulton maintained their challenge on Hopton after recording an impressive 75-run victory over East Ardsley.

Mirfield moved up to third place in Division One following a three-wicket win over Gildersome in a low scoring game.

Anthony Smith claimed 3-24 as Gildersome were bowled out for 96 in 28.5 overs, with Haseeb Hashmi (30no) top scoring.

Alexander Pearson made a crucial 34 as Mirfield stumbled to victory at 100-7 in 25.1 overs.
