Birstall Vic seal emphatic victory
The game finished 44-12 with Matt Gowland (two), Braden Hunter, Ryan Sheridan, Tony Cowley, Richard Duffy and Mick Dyson touching down against the Huddersfield-based outfit.
On Saturday July 21, the Vic will take on Ossett Trinity at White Lee (2.30pm) in an annual charity match, which will be in aid of the Daniel Cornell Childrens Cancer Fund.

Hide AdThe match is sponsored by ex Leeds and Great Britain star David Ward and after the match there will be a sports auction at the Oakwell Motel in Birstall.
The auction includes signed and framed rugby league, union and football shirts, antique boxing books and a host of other memorabilia.
n These are exciting times at Batley Boys ARLFC open age team, who have added Bulldogs centre Mark Toohey to their coaching staff.
The Boys have also been accepted into the Pennine League for the coming season and the club are inviting old and new players to their open age training every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm.

n Dewsbury Moor’s Brad Delaney completed an excellent tour to the Czech Republic with the BARLA Great Britain Emerging Lions.

Hide AdDelaney scored a hat-trick of tries in helping the Lions to a 46-0 victory over Purple Jets in the Pradavice Nines Tournament.
The Emerging Lions won all three group games and beat Green Jets 24-6 in the final.
Delaney also scored a brace of tries and landed five goals as the Lions thrashed the Czech Republic Students 98-0.
Dewsbury Celtic’s Alex Addy came off the bench and set up one of the Lions 18 tries.
Moor’s senior presentation evening takes place at the club this Saturday (7.30pm) when the first team will celebrate finishing runners-up in the Pennine League Championship Division.
