The award is in recognition of the excellence in coaching for boys and girls on all aspects of freshwater fishing.
Coaches Trevor Facer and Fay Kellett are both experienced anglers, who are fully qualified through the Angling Trust affiliated coaching scheme.

Bankside practical sessions are currently on stretches of canals and ponds managed by Dewsbury Angling Club, who also have generously donated fishing equipment.
The wider aspects of angling, from setting up fishing tackle, water craft, care of fish and their habitat are introduced in classroom-based sessions at Chickenley Community Centre where all junior members work towards the Kingfisher award.
The Clubmark award was made possible by the hard work of the junior members and coaches supported by a number of Dewsbury based businesses, organisations and local government.
