Here’s when the next Sainsbury’s 25% off Tu clothing sale is likely to happen

Fans of Sainsbury’s Tu clothing range may be hoping to bag themselves a bargain at the supermarket’s next big sale.

The regular sale events are a great opportunity for shoppers to get their hands on discounted clothing, especially parents looking to kit their kids out with new school uniforms.

Here’s everything we know so far about when the next sale might be on - and how to get the most for your money.

What’s in the sale?

The 25 per cent off Tu clothing sale is one of the most popular sale events with shoppers, as it offers up the chance to bag a bargain on all types of clothing, including school uniforms and shoes.

However, the sale isn’t just restricted to school clothing - it includes all clothing under the Tu label, from the men and women’s ranges, accessories, underwear and even fancy dress costumes.

The dates for the sale, which is held a few times throughout the year, tends to follow a similar pattern, which means you can be prepared for when the next sale rolls around.

When will the next sale be?

According to Money Saving Central, the next Sainsbury's 25 per cent off TU clothing sale could begin on Tuesday 20 October 2020, ending on Monday 26 October.

The website states that there had been a sale scheduled between Tuesday 11 August and Monday 17 August, however this was cancelled due to lack of stock and was instead replaced with a 25 per cent off sale on selected items.

In 2019, the October sale lasted from Tuesday 22 October to Monday 28 October. In 2018, the 25 per cent off Tu sale lasted from Tuesday 23 October to Monday 29 October.

Tips to save money

Money Saving Central has also curated a list of tips and tricks to save money and get the best deal possible, so you’re prepared for when the sale goes live.

It recommends:

  • Pre-loading your online shopping basket with all the items you want to purchase in the sale a day or two beforehand, so that way all you have to do it hit “check out” once the sale goes live - stock tends to run out quickly, so this is a great tip to get ahead of the curve
  • Checking Argos for stock - Tu clothing is in partnership with Argos, so the 25 per cent off sale also applies there, so if an item you had your eye on is now gone, check out the Argos website to see if it’s still available there
  • Opting for Click & Collect instead of home delivery - Tu clothing orders will run you £3.95 for delivery, where click and collect is free. You can choose from any Sainsbury’s or Argos store to collect your order from

Can I return items I bought in the sale?

The Sainsbury’s return policy extends to items that have been bought in one of the sales.

The return policy states that if you change your mind about an item, then you can return it for an exchange or a refund. If it’s within 30 days, in its original condition and you’ve got proof of purchase, you can take your item back to any Sainsbury’s store.

The Sainsbury’s website says, “For any items bought from 9th June onwards, customers have 30 days to return their general merchandise and clothing product.

“Any items bought between 1st March and 8th June can be returned within 100 days of the date of purchase.”
