Greggs is reopening 800 branches on 18 June - here's everything on the new menu

Greggs fans can look forward to the reopening of many branches this week, as the bakery chain plans to open a select number of stores with a brand new menu.

The company will open 800 of its branches for takeaways, after being forced into temporary closure due to the coronavirus outbreak.

When is Greggs reopening?

Greggs will reopen 800 of its 2,050 shops on Thursday 18 June 2020, and plans to open the remainder of its branches from early July.

Inside, customers can expect floor markings to be in place in the stores to help people maintain social distancing, along with protective screens at the counters, PPE equipment for staff, additional cleaning, and hand sanitiser stations.

Customers are also encouraged to purchase their goods using contactless payments.

At the moment, Greggs is only reopening for takeaways, rather than a dine-in service, as this cannot yet be provided under the current lockdown restrictions.
