The volunteers, which included nine young children aged between six and 11, were inspired by the teaching that Loyalty to One’s Country is a Part of Faith.

Dr Abid Ahmad, a representative of the AMA, said: “Our members have enjoyed living in Dewsbury for decades and so any opportunity to help our local community is a much welcomed one.”

Cleaning the streets of Dewsbury also presents us with an opportunity to contribute back into the community and teach everyone that cleanliness in Islam is an important part of a Muslim’s faith.

“We are a peace loving and law-abiding Muslim community, with the motto, Love for All Hatred for None, which will continue to help make Dewsbury an even better place to live in.”
