Staff at Batley and Dewsbury’s Yorkshire Building Society branches tackled a 190km static bike challange to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Colleagues took it in turns to peddle the machines, covering the same distance as the first stage of the Tour de France.

The event was in aid of Yorkshire Building Society and Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Hour of Need campaign.

The organisations hope to raise £500,000 by December 2016, which would the equate to funding an hour of care from a Marie Curie nurse for every hour of the campaign.
