WOMEN are invited to learn more about courses to improve their lifestyles at an open evening on Wednesday.
The evening, at the Women’s Centre in Dewsbury, is being hosted by Dewsbury and District Women’s Health Group, a voluntary organisation which runs the centre. The group, which has been going for 28 years, is arranging free courses in yoga, chair-based exercises, confidence building, homeopathy, relaxation, healthy eating and positive thinking. Health group chairwoman Maureen Tierney said it was also a chance to look at the facilities on offer at the recently refurbished centre in Wellington Street.
Mrs Tierney said: “We are a group of ordinary women who want to help other women, and the centre provides a warm, friendly base where they can talk in confidence. We are dedicated to helping women lead healthy lives and cope with emotional stress. We also provide a confidential listening service.”
A limited number of open evening places are available – call 01924 509161 or 488744.
