A pub in Dewsbury is celebrating International Women’s Day with a Ladies’ Charity Beer and Food tasting evening.

The West Riding pub at Dewsbury railway station is holding the beer tasting event aimed at women, with money going to the Dewsbury Women’s Centre.

Ale expert Annabel Smith from Cask Marque will host the event, and give advice on what foods go well with certain ales.

Organiser Rebecca Whiteley said: “I think there is a lot of scope for more women to enjoy real ales, and this event will be a good chance to learn more about it in an informal environment.”

The event takes place on Thursday March 6 starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £10 and are available behind the West Riding bar.
