A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said it’s likely the car had gone too fast around a corner and hit a stone wall.

The female passenger was injured when her head hit the windscreen and she also suffered leg injuries.

Firefighters administered first aid to the woman, before leaving her in the care of paramedics.

They also disconnected the car’s battery to make the scene safe and cleared up oil which had spilled from the vehicle.
