Woman sold clothes with fake brand logos

A WOMAN has been found guilty of selling clothes featuring rip-off logos.

Jumanah Nadeem, 32, of Millwater Avenue, Dewsbury, was convicted on 26 counts of possessing and selling counterfeit goods after a trial at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday.

Jackets, jeans, boots, T-shirts and handbags with unauthorised logos were found at Nadeem’s shop, Miss Chief, in Foundry Street, Dewsbury, in February last year. Logos from a range of brands were used, including Nike, Adidas and Bench. Also found were 2,800 leaflets that used false trade marks.

She will be sentenced with her co-accused, Mohammed Sarwar, 38, also of Millwater Street, on November 11.
