Woman cut free from car after crash in Mirfield

A passenger was trapped in a car after it crashed in Mirfield yesterday evening (Tuesday).

Emergency services were called to Sunny Bank Road near the junction with Leeds Road just after 6.30pm.

Firefighters from Dewsbury and Mirfield had to cut the woman free from the Vauxhall Corsa.

Both the passenger and the woman who had been driving were treated by paramedics for minor injuries.

The road was closed between Leeds Road and Old Bank Road until 8.10pm.
