Once again the Reporter Series has teamed up with the luxurious Gomersal Park Hotel and the award-winning Bangla Lounge Hotel to offer our readers the chance to win a wonderful Valentine treat.
We want to hear your love stories, whether you’ve only just met the love of your life, or whether you’ve been married for 50 years!
The winner of our competition will win a fabulous Valentine’s dinner and overnight stay for two in a luxury bedroom at the Gomersal Park Hotel, followed by a full English breakfast. The prize is worth a total of £200.
And the runner-up will win a mouthwatering five-course Valentine dinner at the award-winning Bangla Lounge in Birstall worth £39.
Either way, our winners are in for a fabulous celebration of romance and splendour.
Keith Joplin, organiser of the competition, said: “The overall winner can choose to take their prize on Valentine’s Day itself, Friday February 14, when there is a tribute night to Whitney Houston, and that is all part of the package.
“However, if they prefer, they can take the prize the following night instead, which includes a disco instead of the tribute night and they will have full use of the hotel’s facilities.
“Gomersal Park has hosted many weddings and no doubt many people have met there and gone on to married life. And at this time of year, when love is in the air the hotel is delighted to offer this wonderful prize once again to the Reporter Series.”
To enter the competition, just tell us, in no more than 50 words, your love story – how you met, why you have a special relationship, what keeps you together or what is unique to you as a couple.
The story deemed by our judges to be the most romantic and deserving of our prize will be the winner.
Please make sure you fill in the entry form in this week’s paper, and send it along with your story, to Margaret Heward, Valentine Competition, Reporter Series, 17 Wellington Road, Dewsbury, WF15 1HQ.
Entries must reach us by Monday February 3 and must be on an entry form.
