Win a luxury Valentine's spa weekend at Gomersal Park Hotel

The Reporter Series has once again teamed up with the luxury Gomersal Park Hotel to run their annual Valentine’s competition. Hotel owner Keith Joplin is on the hunt for a couple who can tell a heart-warming story of their time together - whether that’s how you met, what you’ve gone through as a pair or just how much you mean to each other.

The judges’ chosen winners will receive a night’s stay in one of the hotel’s executive rooms, a romantic three-course evening meal and a delicious breakfast. This year is the first time the couple will be able to spend Valentine’s Day in Gomersal Park’s new, £1.5million Dream Spa as part of their prize, with access to an open-air vitality pool, sauna, steam room, foot spa, Experience showers and ice drops.

“We’ve been running the competition for six years now and we always get a good response.

“We ask for a romantic story - it might be how you got together, or how you’ve supported each other through thick and thin.

“In the past we’ve had people who’ve overcome illnesses, have had challenges at home or even people who married at the hotel years ago. It’s a great opportunity to get away together,” said Keith.

“They’ll be treated like royalty by professional staff, and made to feel special.”

The hotel was built as a private house in 1805 and one of the early occupants was Ellen Mussey, whose friend, novelist Charlotte Bronte, was a long-term guest.

The winning couple have the choice of spending either Saturday or Sunday night at the hotel, and can visit the spa on both days. A runners-up prize of a five-course meal at the Bangla Lounge restaurant will be awarded.

Entries should be no more than 50 words long and tell your love story, including why your relationship is special and what keeps you together.
