Her paternal grandparents had also met in Coventry during the Second World War.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a Mori Lee strapless sweetheart neckline A-line gown of Alencon lace with applique on the waist line and a small train.

The bride wore something old in the form of her great-grandmother’s pearls, which were also worn by the bride’s grandmother on her wedding day. She also had a handkerchief from her paternal aunt with the initial ‘C’ on it.

Her bouquet had the personal touch, with white and lilac roses, hydrangea, gypsophila, thistles and freesia to honour the Yorkshire and Scottish roots within the family.
