Guests travelled from the USA, Australia and Germany for the wedding of Jan Grabowski and Shelley Denham at St Philip and St James Church, Scholes.
The bride is the daughter of Maurice and Jane Denham of Park View, Cleckheaton, and the bridegroom is the son of Jan and Christine Grabowski of Banks Crescent, Golcar, Huddersfield.
Given away by her father, the bride wore an ivory duchess-satin, strapless gown with pearl and diamante detail and train and a floor-length veil. She carried a trailing bouquet of orange gerberas, orchids and cala lillies.
The bridesmaids were Annrose Andrews, Halina Grabowski and Abigail Denham. The best man was Richard Dyson, the groomsmen were Alex Denham and Bryan Clark and the usher was Ben Davies. The pageboys were Josh Grundy and Aaron Clark.
A reception was held at the Cedar Court Hotel at Leeds/Bradford and the wedding cake was made by the bride’s mother.
The couple’s honeymoon destination was an island off the coast of Croatia.
The bride is a cover supervisor and the bridegroom, who is a lifelong Huddersfield Town fan, is an IT technician.
