A yellow weather warning has been put in place for thunderstorms from 12pm tomorrow lasting until 9pm.

The weather warning has been put in place for West Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

The Met Office has warned that thunderstorms may cause travel disruption and flooding in a few places.

Some flooding of a few homes and businesses are likely, leading to some damage to buildings or structures.

The Met Office has said there may also be some damage to a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes.

Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services

There may also be spray and sudden flooding which could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures. Power cuts might also occur during the thunderstorm.
