Kirklees Warm Zone carried out its final installation of loft insulation just before Christmas, much to the delight of Liversedge resident Steven Saville who said: “I’m looking forward to a warm New Year now the insulation has been fitted.”

His landlord Sanjit Aujla, who saw the insulation being installed, said: “The council has done a fantastic job giving us insulation free of charge and even provided a new loft hatch to ensure that the work could be completed.”

Kirklees Warm Zone has been the biggest scheme of its kind in the UK and has received national praise for saving energy and making heating bills more affordable for thousands of local people.
