Video: Woman taken to hospital after being knocked down in Dewsbury
A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being knocked down by a white transit van in Dewsbury.
Police were called at 11.20am today (Tuesday) to Leeds Road opposite the junction with Highgate Road, close to the ring road.
They closed that section of Leeds Road in both directions while paramedics treated the 50-year-old woman.
She was taken to hospital with injuries that were described as serious but not life-threatening.
Witnesses should contact police on 101.
