A herd of new arrivals have heralded the start of spring at a Spen farm.

Brecks Farm, on Moor Lane, Gomersal, has welcomed 20 baby lambs over the past two weeks.

Farmer Hillary Peel said: “Lambs have been born more or less every day and night for the past two weeks. They like to wait until you’re ready to go to bed and then they start!

“We have to be there to make sure everything is all right.

“There are a couple I’m topping up that are triplets, but they are still with their mum.”
