Video: Dewsbury unites for fun football tournament

Dewsbury community group Kumon Y'All welcomed a host of VIPs to the Savile Town playing fields for its annual charity football tournament.

Muslim faith leaders were joined by local MP Paula Sherriff, army officer Colonel Mike Butterwick, the temporary chief constable of West Yorkshire Police Dee Collins and the chief executive of Kirklees Council Adrian Lythgo at Let's Unite 2016.

Hundreds took part in the contest, an annual event, where groups of teenagers and over 40s battle it out on the pitches in a fun six-a-side football contest to promote community integration.

There were also a host of family activities including archery, an army obstacle course, bouncy castle, donkey rides and a barbecue.

Kumon Y'All is run by volunteers and provides activities for all ages.
