UPDATED: Police appeal after assault in Batley

Police are on the hunt for the attackers of a man who was hospitalised after a serious assault in Batley.

The attack took place after the man left Audio nightclub in Bradford Road at around 2am on Monday March 2.

The two attackers followed him up the road to the Batley Barless Fire Company where they assaulted him.

The 26-year-old was hospitalised with a serious chest injury.

Det Co Pete Brooke, of Dewsbury CID, said: “This has been a nasty and cowardly assault in which three men have followed the lone victim and then subjected him to a serious assault.

“I would ask anyone who has information about this incident or who recognises the men pictured who we would like to speak to, to contact us.
