Watch Commander Stone of Morley Fire Station said crews were in attendance for around three hours.

He said workmen in the building discovered the fire, raised the alarm and evacuated.

There were no injuries but the second storey and roof of the building was gutted.

A spokesperson for Batley Fire Station said the cause of the fire was still under investigation.

Crews are no longer at the scene.
