Second West Yorkshire pub shuts this week after customer tests positive for coronavirus

The Angel, in Ackworth, said a customer who visited at the weekend had been in touch to inform them that they had tested positive for Covid-19.
It comes just days after the Fox and Hounds, in Batley, shut due to a customer confirming they were Covid-19 positive after pubs were allowed to reopen to customers for the first time in more than three months.

Hide AdThe pub, on Wakefield Road, Pontefract, will remain closed to customers today due to the premises receiving a 'deep clean'.
In a Facebook post, The Angel said: "We will be closed today 9/7/20 to deep clean after a customer has informed us they have tested positive for Coronavirus. This customer visited us on Saturday evening between 8pm and 10pm.
"We have been in contact with all staff member to make sure they are safe and are not showing any symptoms and have advised them on what to do if they are.
"We apologise if anyone has a booking with us and we hope to see you in the near future.

Management are also working with Wakefield Council and have advised staff on the best course of action.
Small outbreaks have also been reported at businesses in Normanton and Ossett.
The Fox and Hounds, in Batley, has confirmed it will reopen this evening.
