James Dobbin, Director of Event Cinema for Showcase Cinemas said: “Many people will be celebrating Halloween differently this year, but to help keep the spooky spirit alive we are releasing an extensive list of scary films for all ages.

“We’ll be screening a great selection of both timeless Halloween films and brand-new releases across the weekend so there truly is something for everyone. Spend your Halloween weekend at Showcase Cinemas, where we promise it will be all treats, no tricks."

Bring the kids to watch the brand-new family-friendly release, Wolfwalkers, directed by Tom Moore and Ross Stewart.

For hardcore horror fans, Rose Glass’ Saint Maud is the latest psychological thriller to land on the big screen and will be sure to leave you gripping the edge of your seat. The drama tells the story of a pious nurse who becomes obsessed with preserving the soul of her patient.

Maybe you get a thrill from suspense filled dramas? Set in a remote haunted house, Australian film Relic will leave you feeling spooked as it follows a mother and daughter on their travels to find their missing grandmother.

Lovers of the supernatural will be excited by the release of The Craft: Legacy, the continuation of the 1996 cult hit The Craft, about a covent of high school witches.

And that’s not all, as part of Showcase’s Event Cinema offering it will also be screening classics like John Carpenter’s Halloween and The Exorcist, for just £5 a ticket. But beware, they are not for the faint-hearted.
