Trust carers take on 10k

TWO carers from a charity for people with disabilities pushed two people in wheelchairs on a 10 kilometre run.

Hollybank Trust social care worker Jamie Williams ran from Clarence Park in Wakefield to Horbury Bridge and back during the Wakefield Hospice 10k, pushing Hollybank resident James Massey all the way.

He was joined by senior social care officer Mick Hewitt who pushed another resident, Sarah Brannan.

Together the two pairs raised more than £200, which will be split between Wakefield Hospice and the Mirfield-based Hollybank Trust.
