Travellers move to new playing fields site in Earlsheaton
A TRAVELLERS camp has been set up on playing fields in Earlsheaton.
Around 30 caravans arrived at Wakefield Road playing fields on Wednesday evening.
They had been staying at Sands Lane playing fields, but moved on before Kirklees Council was granted an eviction order yesterday.
The council has now begun the process again and is applying to Dewsbury County Court today to have the travellers removed.
It is expected that a hearing will be held next week.
