Police operation sees vehicle seized during day of action in Cleckheaton

On August 12 officers from the Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team took part in a day of action targeting speeding motorists on Moorside in Cleckheaton after lots of problems reported by local residents.

Numerous motorists were spoken to during the day with one person being dealt with at the roadside for excessive speed.

Three other motorists will be receiving paperwork through the post with regard to other offences including speeding and also failing to stop when officers requested them to.

One vehicle was also seized for having no insurance.

The NPT said more days like this are planned in the near future.
