M62 at Wakefield to be closed for emergency repairs

Highways England were called at around 6.15am this morning to reports of a carriageway defect between junction 29 (Lofthouse) and junction 28 (Tingley).
A temporary repair was made and the road was reopened to all traffic shortly before 7am.

The work will begin at 10am, and is expected to take an hour.
Drivers are warned to expect additional journey times and delays while the repair is carried out.
It comes just a week after Lofthouse Interchange reopened to traffic for the first time in eight weeks.
