Kirklees roadworks you need to know about this month including some in Batley
Areas across Kirklees will be impacted by roadworks this month.
Kirklees Council has released its monthly roundup of just some of the roadworks due to take place in January.
Among them, mains works in Batley and Huddersfield, and resurfacing works over in South Crosland.
On Monday, Huddersfield town centre was hit with the six-month closure of one of its busiest car parks as refurbishment works continue.

The car park above the bus station at Upperhead Row is getting a revamp in a bid to boost safety and make it more modern.
Other town centre car parks, like those at Springwood, Cambridge Road and Albion Street, remain open at this time.
The council says: “There can be lots of reasons for road works including resurfacing, making repairs, improving layouts, and replacing traffic signage and markings.
"We also support other organisations to carry out essential works, for example utilities companies whose pipes and wires run under the roads and developers who need to change road access to complete works.
“Whatever the reason, we aim to minimise disruption and complete work as efficiently as possible.”
