Driver stopped by Batley police abuses officers when asked for their details
An abusive driver was placed in the back of a police car after an altercation with officers.
The Vauxhall Corsa was initially sighted on Common Side, Batley, by officers from the Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing team on January 31.
However, when the driver was questioned by officers they became abusive towards them.
A spokesperson for the NPT said: “The driver found out the hard way that being abusive to our officers and refusing to provide your details will only end up with you in the back of a police car with uncomfortable, shiny bracelets.
“The vehicle initially sighted on Common Side, Batley, was seized for no insurance and the driver reported for this and driving without a licence.”
Operation Tireminster is dedicated to upholding the driving standards on our roads and in our community within the Batley & Spen area. If you have information regarding illegal/nuisance vehicles, you can contact our team directly.
