Toys flood in for kids
Our offices in Batley, Dewsbury and Cleckheaton have been inundated with gifts from readers keen to support our toy appeal, for children’s charity Barnardo’s, which ends tomorrow.
This year’s appeal got an extra boost when Tesco Express in Earlsheaton, Dewsbury, gave £280 of gifts for older children.

“There was a fantastic contribution from our customers too.”
Reporter Series editor Hannah Ridgeway said: “This year the response has been absolutely fantastic. The contribution from Tesco has been a real boost and I’d like to thank them, and every firm or individual that has brought something in - your generosity will make someone’s Christmas special.”
