The story tells that of George Kranky, who is looking forward to a break from school during his half-term holiday – until his mean-spirited Grandma arrives to make his life a misery with her constant demands for medicine.

George sets upon creating his own type of medicine for his Grandma using a mixture of crazy ingredients, which results in her growing into a giant.

The youngster’s dad then comes up with a plan to use the medicine to also turn the family’s farm animals into giants and make a fortune for them – but can George remember the ingredients for the medicine? He might just do with a little help from the Dewsbury audience.

Tickets are £6 for those under 16 and £9 for adults. To book, 01924 465647.

Dewsbury Arts Group is a creative collective with members from the town and surrounding areas which hosts regular theatre productions and exhibitions.
