Police have arrested three men in connection with disorder that occurred in Dewsbury on Saturday night.
A gang is believed to have caused severe damage to vehicles on Bretton Park Way in Savile Town just before midnight, having earlier been involved in a similar incident on Mill Street East.
The men, aged 44, 24 and 20, are all from the local area.
Inspector Jenny Thompson, of Dewsbury and Mirfield Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Police are investigating violent disorder involving a number of people in Bretton Park Way in the Saviletown area of Dewsbury at around 11.30pm on Saturday, 4 July. Damage was caused to vehicles at the location during the disorder. This incident has been linked to a further incident of violent disorder a short time later in Mill Street East.
“Three men, aged 44, 24 and 20, all from the local area, have been arrested in connection with these incidents.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area who has not already spoken to the police as our enquiries continue to establish the circumstances of what has happened. Anyone with information is asked to call Kirklees District CID via 101. Information can also be given anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
