Thornhill’s welfare officer Amanda Griffiths visited year five pupils at the school to teach them basic first aid skills, including how to put on a sling and deal with a nosebleed.

Year five teacher Fazila Patel said: “They learnt a lot from the sessions. It’s very useful for the children to learn about.”
The Reporter Series is backing the first aid campaign, which will also offer discounted sessions at the academy for anyone who wants to learn life-saving skills.
