“I came back from watching England at the World Cup in Brazil and I did not want to come back to this,” he said.

Mr Martin, whose company provides leisure machines such as fruit machines, took part in Tour de Yorkshire organised by Huddersfield Town last year.

The 300 strong party cycled around the county raising money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Mr Martin said he was due to meet with the charity to discuss a number of future fund raising ideas.

Police advised me to look on Ebay and Gumtree to see if it pops up online but I am offering a reward of £100 to anyone who can help,” he said.

“Hopefully I can get it back and start training again.”

The bicycle is a white Ridley X Bow 1116A Cyclocross bike.
