“The car was outside the house. I went in to drop something off inside from the shops and somebody must have jumped in it.”

Mr Janjua said he had recently moved to the area from Bradford.

He said: “I have never been so distraught in my life.

“I have worked really hard and saved a lot of money for this.

“I had this car as a toy when I was a kid, a model version.

“I always wanted it and it has taken me ten years to earn it.

“It would mean the world to get it back.

“It’s made me feel very stressed and cautious in my own home.

“Someone must have seen or heard the car. It’s very different and as loud as an aeroplane.”
