A theatre spokesman said: “We invited Ben to work with our members to give them audition feedback, helping them understand what directors may be looking for and how best to present themselves.

“Each attendee had the choice of whether to perform an acting piece or a song from our next show ‘West Side Story’ at Cleckheaton Town Hall from Wednesday 27 September to Saturday 30 September.

“Ben helped them work on characterisation and each member took on board everything he was suggesting with remarkable results in a short amount of time.”
