Text us a joke and you can win a funny prize!

IT’S time to do something funny for money, with Red Nose day just a few weeks away on March 18.

There’s nothing like a good laugh to raise the spirits and we want to have a side-splitting edition of our paper that week – and to raise money for the appeal.

But we need your help. We want your knock knocks, your chickens crossing the road and your horses walking into a bar.

And one person who texts in will win a top prize courtesy of Jongleurs comedy club and Oceana nightclub in Leeds.

Jongleurs is giving away a pair of tickets for one of its comedy nights, which promises up to four top comedians in a 90-minute show. It is also throwing in a meal for two at the comedy club.

The prize also includes entry to the multi-award winning nightclub Oceana, with its six bars and two nightclubs. We are asking you to text us a joke and we’ll print the best to share with other readers. And we’re giving the profits from all texts sent straight to Comic Relief.

The prize will be valid for a Friday night of the winner’s choice.
