A man has been arrested over an alleged ‘hit-and-run’ which left a teenager with serious injuries.
The 15-year-old boy was struck by a Peugeot Partner van on Blakeridge Lane at around 6.35pm yesterday.
The van did not stop at the scene.
A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene.
He has been bailed while further investigations take place.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
They would particularly like to speak to anyone who saw the Peugeot immediately before or after the incident.
