Teenage girl in cliff fall

A TEENAGE girl was airlifted to hospital after falling 30ft from a cliff face onto rocks below.

The girl, 13, was with a group of friends when she slipped near High Street in Thornhill at about 2pm on Tuesday.

Police say she was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary with head injuries. The girl, from Batley, is still at LGI, but police now say her injuries are not serious.

Some of the girl’s friends were given oxygen and treated for shock.
