An 83-year-old woman out walking her dog was sexually assaulted by a 15-year-old boy in Heckmondwike.

The incident took place on Wednesday September 26 at about 6.45pm, when the woman was walking down the Spen Valley Greenway between Beck Lane and Station Lane.

As she passed three teenagers, one of the boys made crude comments towards her before then smacking the woman on her behind. She continued to walk along Beck Lane on her way home, but the boys followed her and made further crude comments.

The suspect was white, around 15-years old and 5’6” tall. He had short brown hair, wore large full framed dark glasses, a white t-shirt and a navy jacket. The other two suspects are around 15 years old.

Anyone with any information should call DC Rob Rutherford at Dewsbury CID via 101. Police are particularly appealing to a man in his 50s who was cycling along the Greenway at the time of the first incident, to contact them.
